Hydrogen and electric powered aircraft are two of the emerging technologies as a potential alternative to fossil fuels. Manufacturing of sustainable aviation fuel is also being scaled up.
What are the implications for aircraft acquisition and management of the new technologies emerging? Do you see these replacing jet fuel? What other factors will airlines need to consider in fleet management?

As the world adapts to a changing climate, the aviation industry is taking measures to reduce carbon emissions. New technology to power aircraft will require new supporting infrastructure and operational changes at airports. Airports, airlines, ground handlers and aircraft fuellers will need to adapt to new technology and procedures. Airports are not equipped with multiple fuelling systems but they will need to start planning for this.
