“Training” will often mean different things to different people/organisations.
In aviation, we are often told that there are “minimum training requirements” for a particular role or activity. Thus, organisations and individuals will seldom carry out more than the minimum training necessary to satisfy their regulatory requirements.
In our opinion, doing the minimum amount of training is not enough. If we are to prosper in aviation, we must learn and develop continuously.
At the T-C-Alliance, we prefer the word “Learning”.
Learning is a long-term and continuous progress focusing on “Development” and is far from “tick-box” training that can be prevalent in many organisations.
